What the site is
A free set of time zone tools and reference pages. No account is required, no payment is taken and no registration exists.
Accuracy
Everything here is derived from the IANA time zone database, which is the same source used by operating systems, browsers and programming languages worldwide. We believe it to be the best available, and the site is rebuilt on a schedule designed to pick up its updates before the dates they affect.
** That said, this site is provided for general information and you should not rely on it alone for anything with consequences. ** Governments change time zone rules with as little as a few weeks’ notice; a rule change announced after the last rebuild will not appear here until the next one. Live clocks read your own device, so a device with the wrong time produces a wrong reading. For legal deadlines, flight schedules, medical dosing, financial settlement or anything else where being an hour out is expensive, confirm against an authoritative source for that domain.
Acceptable use
You may use this site for any lawful purpose. You may not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system associated with it;
- make automated requests at a volume that degrades the service for others (the site is static; reasonable crawling is fine and welcome);
- republish substantial portions of the generated content as your own, or use it to train a model marketed as a competing reference.
Intellectual property
The design, code and written content are ours. The time zone data comes from the IANA time zone database, which is in the public domain. You are welcome to quote from the guides with attribution and a link.
Liability
The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it — including a missed meeting, a missed flight or a missed deadline.
