YourWorldTime

Cookie policy

YourWorldTime sets no cookies. Not analytics cookies, not preference cookies, not “strictly necessary” cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

What is stored on your device

Three values in local storage, which is not a cookie: it is never sent with a request, so no server — including ours — can read it.

YourWorldTime-theme : “light” or “dark”, if you used the theme toggle. Persists until you clear site data.

YourWorldTime-planner-zones : The list of time zones you last had in the meeting planner.

YourWorldTime-pinned-cities : The cities you pinned on the world clock.

Everything else — the zones in a conversion, the target of a countdown — lives in the URL, which is why sharing a link shares the state.

Third-party cookies

None. The site loads no third-party scripts, no embedded content, no fonts from a font CDN and no images from another origin. Its Content Security Policy blocks connections to any host other than its own, so a third-party cookie cannot be set even by accident.

If advertising is enabled later

The site reserves space for advertising but serves none. If that changes, this page will be updated before it does, and:

  • The advertising provider would set its own cookies, which are used to measure and, if permitted, personalise advertising.
  • Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland would see a consent request from a certified consent management platform before any advertising cookie is set, with a refusal as easy to give as an acceptance.
  • A “manage cookies” control would be added to the footer so a choice can be changed at any time.

Controlling storage

Clearing site data for this domain in your browser removes the three local storage values. The site works normally afterwards; it will use your system’s light or dark preference and forget your pinned cities.
