Privacy policy

[LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“we”) operates YourWorldTime. This policy explains what data the site handles. The short version: as it stands today, none of it leaves your device.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no fingerprinting, no third-party script and no server that receives your input. Every calculation on this site runs in your browser.

The times, zones and dates you enter are never transmitted anywhere. They appear in the URL so you can bookmark or share a result, and the URL stays in your browser unless you send it to someone.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. See the cookie policy for detail, including what would change if advertising were enabled.

Local storage

Three preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device and are not readable by us:

  • Theme — whether you chose light or dark
  • Meeting planner zones — the zones you last had in a plan
  • Pinned cities — the cities you pinned on the world clock

Clearing your browser’s site data removes all three. The site works without them.

Server logs

The site is served as static files by a hosting provider, which will record standard request information — IP address, user agent, requested path, timestamp — as part of delivering the page and defending against abuse. We do not add to, query or analyse those logs. Retention is governed by the host’s own policy.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and equivalent laws elsewhere, you have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to produce, correct or delete — but if you believe otherwise, write to support@yourworldtime.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale. We collect none and sell none. We have never sold or shared personal information, and there is no mechanism here that could.

Children

This site is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA and UK).

If advertising is enabled later

This site is built with advertising slots reserved but inactive. If advertising is switched on, this policy will be updated before that happens, and the following will change:

  • An advertising provider would set cookies or similar identifiers on your device.
  • Data including your IP address, approximate location, device information and browsing behaviour would be processed by that provider, potentially for personalised advertising.
  • For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a consent management platform would ask permission first, and no advertising cookie would be set before you answer.
  • The site’s Content Security Policy would be widened to permit the advertising provider’s scripts. That widening is documented in SECURITY.md in the repository.

Nothing on this page describes a future intention as a present fact. As of the date at the top, all of the above is inactive.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Because the site is static and version-controlled, its history is a matter of public record in the repository.
